One of the most successful country and western groups of the 80's whose roots started in gospel singing.   Originally a journalist working in Nashville, his first LP sold 324 copies, Nowadays it's a different story.   Dolly Parton made her first record at the age of 11. Not only a successful singer but also a song writer and actress.

A good light hearted 'sing-a-long' song from the guy who wrote 'In The Ghetto', as well as many other well known songs.

There's a line in this song which says "Behind the bar, you see some crazy things, I watch those disappearing wedding rings". Having worked behind the bar for many years, I can say that it's absolutely true.

Even though this is the most played song on American jukebox's, I couldn't leave it out. It has to be one of the all time classic ballads. Amazingly, it first reached the charts in the UK in 1990.

Just about the only one of Garth's songs that I really like. Good guitar player though, played for a while with Dire Straits.

I could have included at least 5 songs from Reba, instead I chose only this one. Hearing this song inspired me to resume contact with my father again after 'falling out' with him 14 years previously,
( Thanks Reba ).

By now you must have realised that I'm a real 'sucker' for the sentimental ballads, and this one is no exception.
