Frequently Asked Questions / Troubleshooting
Anybody who has designed their own web pages knows the problem. What looks great in one browser, looks completely different sometimes in another. Different browsers, screen resolutions and monitor/TV types make life difficult for a web designer. I've tried to accommodate various types of browser in this web site, by having various versions of the same pages, but 'never the less' , I occasionally receive e-mail's from visitors who, for one reason or another are experiencing difficulties viewing or using the site to its full potential.
Below are a few of the more common problems experienced by visitors, with some suggestions as to their remedy.
The screen shot below shows how the site should look normally.

One of the most common questions I receive is the one saying about the 'next page' buttons covering one of the play icons, thus preventing the visitor from selecting the song.

If you are like me, then as the years go by, the eyes 'aren't what they used to be', and as a result, I often set the text size to a larger font, especially for reading news sites etc.
The jukebox site is designed to be viewed with the text size set to medium (default), if it isn't, the various 'tables' will overlap each other making navigation and selection difficult.

The text size can be changed quite easily, as is shown in the screen shot below, this can of course be changed back to your preferred setting after your visit.

If after setting the text size to default, you find you can't read the song titles !, just click anything, you're bound to hear something, and with a bit of luck, you might actually like the song.

If on arriving to the site, you are met with something that looks like the screen shot below, chances are, that you inadvertently came into the site on the wrong page version.

With so many search engines listing all versions of the site, its easy to come in through the 'back door', so to speak.
Simply go to Jukebox Main Entrance http://www.gerryrowe.com/jukebox/index.html and the automatic browser detection script will forward you on to the correct version for your system.

A simple one, but 'none the less', one that happens sometimes.

The songs are in 'RealPlayer' format. So if you haven't installed 'RealPlayer', then you won't hear anything.
If everything is installed correctly, on arriving in the site, you should see the 'RealPlayer' audio controls as pictured above, and hear the intro music.

If on clicking a play button, all you get is a notice saying 'Direct linking to my files is not allowed', then either you are trying to access the song from another web site, or you have the option to accept cookies disabled in your browser preferences.
